Anguilla ~Another Beautiful Caribbean Island

Private Villa Shot~
the real Anguilla SHOAL BAY
As you can see in photos below, we enjoy a gang BUT a gang in a most tranquil setting~

HOWEVER~ this is~
My favorite photo of Anguilla!

Not much there but natural beauty~

Anguilla is about 360 miles east of Porto Rico and about 20 miles from St. Maartin/St. Martin ~ in the Caribbean Ocean and close to the equator therefore, nice year round and water temperatures totally perfect.

Sailing and Snorkeling is our favorite things to do besides shopping fabulous Phillisburg, the markets, exploring the Island which is divided into to countries, Dutch Netherlands and France. Great restaurants in either country and only a sign as you cross from one into the other.

These are some of our photos as we traveled over from St. Maarten to Anguilla for a lovely, lovely time~

Paul Gates is helping in the development of one of the most secluded resorts we have ever seen.

We were so happy to see him as a face from home.

The Resort is located
on one of the world's most beautiful beaches and inaccessible by automobile makes it perfect for all those who want a real escape.

I tell you it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

This photos is one of the houses on St. Maarten...now that is private too...with a fabulous view of the Caribbean, but no beach.

We has to stop to have Passports stamped as we entered the island~ all this little islands are independent little countries and some are claimed by European mother countries...but in all are basically alike.
One thing is for sure, they are very kind to travelers, as we are their main revenue.

We partied on the staffed boat ~
and just had a ball.

The sound system on the boat filled the air with music of 70 and 80's ~ totally delightful.

The Love Songs are perfect for the Caribbean as we enjoy all the views, rum punch and happy people.

Swimming/snorkeling place place.
We went past a "back to nature" beach~ photos not bloggable ~

The island has an airport, however, the Resort doesn't have roads in ...totally secluded. Owners and visitors are met and taken to the Resort by boat.

They back the boat up to the beach~
we jumped out and waded to the beach~
The crew carried a guy who didn't want to get wet.

What a fun time~ we experience great food, great company, great sunset ~ a fabulous experience.

We became to in love with the Resort that we decided to purchase a new home. I wondered what God much have in store for us if this is on earth.

Photo made late in the day~ The water is quite as there's a reef protecting the shoreline~

The water there is peaceful, shallow and totally clear. I wondered just how far we could walk out.

I so want to return for a full week!

Tropical sunset~ the warm sun which at this time of year isn't intense. I am, fair and our January trips down never call for sunscreen... summertime is a different story.

Each Villa/bedroom has it's very own private swimming pool as pictured above.

You are looking at a happy, happy group! Ken and Ford both are ready to call this place home~

For sure....

we need another life to live.

The Resort Dress shop is colorful against the setting sun~ beautiful.
We can't wait to return to Anguilla ~ A FABULOUS TIME WAS HAD BY ALL
Our return to Sint Maartin that night was under a big full moon, stars galore~ 80's love music filled our peaceful minds and drifted out across smooth black waters ~was surreal.

I LOVE ANGUILLA!!!

I, too, love the islands. As we drove from the French side to the Dutch side, I envied the people that live there all the time.

June, thanks for the travels you give us. At this time when we should be traveling we are unable to because of various reason.
