Our destination took us by "The Hanging Tree" as it served just that purpose in that County in Texas. Of course, that was when judgement and justice were swift.
I can imagine a bunch of cowboys around the tree ~ saddled horses and dusty trails
as the backdrop.

We left Central Texas and drove across the state to West Texas to visit a dear friend.

Your Texas vacation and wedding sounds wonderful and
your get together your old friends is priceless.
Love reading about your trip to Texas. I would love to go back myself. Did you have time to visit the ranch that we went to?. I really enjoyed our visit to Peggy's in Buda, Tx. She was a great host. Visiting the ranch was something that I really enjoyed too.
June, A quick note to say Sharon and I have enjoyed watching your blog as your repot on your trip to Texas unfolds. You have great pictures and commentary to go along. Looking forward to the rest of the story.
